Selected from a plethora of RetroFitness Facebook fan posts, Donna Dillow Jones of North Laurel, Md., has been rewarded with a three-month free membership at RetroFitness of Jessup, Md., for her amazing weight loss and transformation success story.
RetroFitness launched a weeklong social media fan page campaign on September 7, encouraging its 8,000-plus social media fans to upload a photo and post a message on how they were reaching their health and wellness goals with RetroFitness. The winner, Jones, received the most “Like” votes to earn the prize.
“Our RetroFitness fan page is a safe haven where members can show their support and ask questions when it comes to staying fit,” said Eric Casaburi, the founder and CEO of RetroFitness. “We wanted to use this forum as a way to reward our loyal members for their successes and it was a huge hit. We look forward to providing our members with even more encouragement as we continue to launch a series of new social media contests.”
It was Jones’ triumphant weight-loss journey that led more than 80 fans and friends to “Like” her story. Jones joined RetroFitness of Jessup in March 2010 and worked with personal trainer Malachi McKoy, who helped her to lose 25-pounds and decrease her body fat by more than 10 percent. She is now a team captain for the Susan G. Komen 5K run in October 2010 and plans to compete in her first body competition in May 2011.
