Club Industry 2008 is just around the corner. Held October 15-18, 2008 in Chicago, Illinois at McCormick Place in the West Building, it is the event that truly unites the entire professional fitness community. This year, Club Industry will bring together nearly 7,000 fitness leaders who represent multipurpose facilities and gym/fitness only clubs, as well as YMCA/YWCA/JCCs, colleges and universities, medical fitness/wellness centers, corporate fitness, government/military, hotel/resort operations, personal training studios and many more. The show provides an excellent opportunity for professionals to network, share ideas, and to experience the latest trends in the fitness industry.
Club Industry 2008 features a three-day exhibition from October 16th -18th, which will host 250 to 300 top suppliers of fitness equipment, products and services to help operators retain their existing clientele and attract new participants to their facilities. Attendees to the exhibition can also experience the expanded Club Industry Conference. Beginning on October 15th and continuing through the 18th, it is the event’s largest and most diverse program ever. It includes over 150 seminars and incorporates 13 tracks, including the following new areas:

As always, Club Industry will also have a number of high-profile sessions and networking events that are free to all attendees, including:
- Keynote Address/Lifetime Achievement Award Presentation. For the first time, Club Industry’s Fitness Business Pro award winner will also be the keynoter. Kenneth Cooper, MD, MPH “the Father of Aerobics” and the driving force behind the Cooper Aerobics Center, will appear on October 16th.
- Panel Discussion: Fitness Business at a Crossroad: How to Hold On in Today’s Economy and Prosper in the Future. A top-level panel, moderated by Management Vision President
Rick Caro, will discuss the impact of the current economy on the state of their business. This group will examine business survival, opportunities, membership economics and even fund allocation in a difficult economic climate.
