O2 Fitness announced the acquisition of their eighth location, Seaboard Fitness and Wellness Club in downtown Raleigh’s Seaboard Station.
“This club is very special to O2 Fitness because of its location,” said Michael Olander, Jr., the founder and CEO of O2 Fitness. “There is a unique and wonderful community that resides in Raleigh’s downtown area and we are excited to provide that group an inspiring place to get and stay healthy. This location also has an exclusive feeling because of its downtown vibe, warehouse-style building and exposed brick.”
When O2 Fitness acquired the property it was already a quality space with diverse cardio and weight training equipment, and spacious locker rooms, Olander said. During the upgrade, several signature O2 Fitness concepts will be added, as well as additional cardio. The club is currently fully functional and open for normal business hours.
“Opening this location establishes us as the largest gym facility group in the area and we are hoping to continue to grow in order to best serve our members,” Olander said.
Current members of Seaboard Fitness and Wellness Club, as well as anyone else, can find amenities such as a dedicated spin room, over 50 group classes weekly, new and upgraded cardio equipment and an indoor turf and functional training areas.
O2 Fitness realizes that many members of Seaboard Fitness and Wellness Club have paid in advance for time they have not used yet. O2 Fitness will provide Seaboard members a seamless transition, with no interruption of their membership. It is also offering Seaboard members a discounted upgrade to a network access membership, which gives them the ability to workout at all O2 Fitness facilities. Each will also receive two free personal training sessions and two friend passes.
