With all the excitement about Groupon, Livingsocial and the other daily deal programs cropping up, fitness and every other kind of business are clamoring to get into the action. Unfortunately, they are discovering this can be easier said than done. As the major players are getting more selective and the waiting list gets longer by the minute how do you take advantage of this boom before it passes? First, don’t worry, they probably aren’t going anywhere so you’ll get your shot. In the meantime, it’s best to realize what drives the frenzy.
These offers typically have the same components.
1. The offers are SPECIAL.
2. There is a ton of VALUE.
3. They are always LIMITED.
Knowing this, it’s easy to sell in the same way and get your gym a lot of deals daily. Make sure your sales people convey the message that this is a special deal; there is a lot of value because of what’s included or what the membership does. Also, that time is a wasting and they should jump at the deal before it expires!
