Urban Active celebrated its 36th opening with a celebrity packed event at the Buckhead location in Atlanta, Ga.
“We are very excited about the initial response to our first store (Buckhead), and look forward to being the fitness choice for all of Atlanta in years to come,” said the CEO of Urban Active, Royce Pulliam. “We feel that our high-energy product and service matches up with what Atlanta residents are looking for and expect in the ultimate fitness experience. We will focus the next 10 years in building out the market and are currently negotiating on three new sites in the city.”
Bravo TV’s staple franchise, The Real Housewives, made a mark on the celebration as the Atlanta stars Sheree Whitfield, Phaedra Parks and Kandi Burruss attended the event and talked up the gym. When asked what they thought about Urban Active in Buckhead, Burruss responded, “Awesome. State-of- the-art!” Whitfield said “Fabulous. I’m excited! I can’t wait until it opens!”
Other celebrities who attended: Jasmine Guy (actress, singer and dancer), Brandi D Williams (pop star of Blaque), Tiffany Evans (recording artist), Kelin Johnson (UGA Bulldog and Former NFL Strong Safety), Angel McCoughtry (WNBA Atlanta Dream), Jesse Malinowski (actor-American Reunion, American Pie), Jazzy McBee (WHTA Hot 107.9 Radio Personality), Rahman Grayson, Mr. Shut Up and Train (clients include: Mary J. Blige, Ciara) and celebrity lifestyle trainer Cliff “Hollywood” Boyce (clients include: Usher, Nicki Minaj, RHOA, Lil Wayne, Mariah Carey and Beyonce).
Urban Active Fitness in Buckhead expanded on the overall brands’ stature to include: Over 40,000 square-feet of the newest equipment, specialized group exercise classes, elaborate cardio areas, personal trainers who specialize in functional training and an expansive list of other amenities.
