Giving a guest a gift is a great way to increase your opportunity to get a member. By offering gifts or friendly nudges we begin to work on a prospect’s subconscious desire to “return the favor” Studies have shown that by giving something of value, prospects are more inclined to take wanted action when asked to do something in return.
Get in the habit of giving guests a water, t-shirt, or smoothie to enjoy during your tour and spend a lot of time talking about the things they will receive as a part of their membership. People want to appear appreciative and are more likely give back to those who have already given something to them.
