Funktional Fitness, in Gilbert, Ariz., has used EZFacility as a resource to better manage aspects of its club, including Point of Sale (POS), personal training scheduling and more. We spoke with Jeremy Jones, the co-founder of Funktional Fitness, to find out how exactly EZFacility’s software has helped Jones better run his business.
Can you give us a brief background on why your club chose EZFacility?
We initially chose EZFacility after meeting Jamie Bankoff, a sales representative for EZFacility, at the IDEA conference in Las Vegas. She has been our sales rep and point of contact since day one. Her enthusiasm and knowledge of the product initially attracted us to EZFacility. After setting up our demo and realizing how simple it was to use, we were hooked.
Describe how you have implemented EZFacility in your club and what were/are you looking to accomplish?
EZFacility now serves as our scheduling software, our POS, and an excellent resource for capturing all of our members’ information, including their pictures. We love the fact that we can e-mail receipts and send e-mail blasts to groups of members right through the system as well. It has really helped us establish our systems and programs, and provides an easy means of accessing them all. Simplifying this process saves us time and allows us to spend more of our time on the actual training floor.
How has EZFacility helped you and your business?
One of the greatest benefits from working with EZFacility is their desire to improve their product. They are always coming out with new updates and features that continue to simplify our business and make it more profitable. We are really excited for the upcoming feature of “schedule syncing” with smart phones. All of our coaches and staff have either iPhones or Androids and oftentimes, scheduling clients on the go is a big part of our day-to-day activities. Having to check a schedule online and then compare it to the schedule on your phone can be confusing at times and there is also a higher chance of double booking clients. With the new schedule-sync feature these instances will decrease dramatically!
What are the greatest benefits from working with EZFacility?
The most important thing it has helped us accomplish is the ability for all of our staff to easily familiarize themselves with the multiple functions it has. Being able to see everyone’s schedule and what type of training they are doing all in one shot, really helps us keep an eye on what’s going on in our business.
Does using EZFacility benefit your members, and if so, how?
Our members also benefit from EZFacility via the automatic reminders that get sent to them regarding their training time. The majority of them have stressed how they love this feature and how it helps hold them accountable to their training appointments. We are starting to have more of our members utilize the MemberMe app and book their own sessions in the available slots. The convenience of this feature makes it very appealing to all of our members as well as our business!
