Mary Beth Primis, an aerobic instructor for L.A. Fitness Health Club in Collier Township, Pa., who was the victim of the shooting that occurred on Aug. 4, is suing the estate of the gunman, George Sodini for $175,000 in damages that could have caused Primis to have a miscarriage of her 10 week old pregnancy. Sodini fired 52 shots from three different weapons before taking his own life. He killed three women and injured 15 in the process. Primis sustained wounds in each shoulder and spent a week in the hospital. Primis’ baby wasn’t harmed in the shooting she is scheduled to give birth in March.

Sodini willed $225,000 to the University of Pittsburgh, his alma mater, but the school declined the gift. Sodini’s brother, Michael is the executor of his estate. Two other victims involved in the L.A. Fitness shooting have filed documentation stating that they intend to sue the Sodini estate as well.
