24 Hour Fitness, the official fitness center sponsor of the 2012 US Olympic and Paralympic Teams, has entered into a partnership with USA Water Polo.
As part of the agreement, 24 Hour Fitness will provide memberships to the USA Water Polo Men’s and Women’s Senior National Teams to support training for the 2011 FINA World Championships in Shanghai, China, while also offering discounted memberships to USA Water Polo members. As an added bonus every USA Water Polo member that joins the fitness club chain will be making a donation to USA Water Polo.
The USA Water Polo Men’s and Women’s Senior National Teams won Silver Medals at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China and are currently preparing for qualification attempts leading up to the 2012 Olympic Games in London, England. With more than 420 clubs nationwide, 24 Hour Fitness provides these athletes with convenient access to training opportunities year-round.
“24 Hour Fitness maintains a great variety of clubs; with many to choose from right here in Southern California, providing our elite athletes with access to the latest, and best maintained equipment available,” said Jen Rottenberg, the CMO for USA Water Polo. “Their support will no doubt be an important component to our National Teams preparation, but at the same time we are excited to welcome 24 Hour Fitness into the USA Water Polo community and are pleased that our membership will benefit from more affordable access to these great facilities.”
