Do you inspire your members? We have highlighted the importance of small talk and getting to know your customers personally, which is huge. However, we should also acknowledge one of the main reasons they are here. We all have fitness goals and members are no different.
I know it helps me look forward to workouts if a compliment or kind words can be expected. So the point is, don’t neglect to notice improvements. Tell your members they are doing a great job, or they are looking good or it seems like they’ve shaped up, etc.
More impressive is to remember their individual goals and help them come up with a good way to track them. This five-minute interaction can help make you look like an indispensable part of the exercise program.
