Midtown Athletic Club in Weston, Florida will host the 3rd annual Audi of Pembroke Pines Katina Taylor Spin-A-Thon and Cardio Camp for Kids on Thursday, June 7.
Katina Taylor and her husband, former Miami Dolphin star Jason Taylor, will serve as event hosts with all proceeds benefiting the Jason Taylor Foundation in its ongoing effort to improve health care, education and quality of life for South Florida’s children in need.
“Giving back to our community is one of our key Midtown Athletic Club values and is a passion of mine both personally and professionally,” said Steve Strumpf, the general manager of the Midtown Athletic Club. “Partnering with Jason and Katina Taylor, and serving as the club host with this spin event and cardio camp, also sends the message of good health and activity with working out starts at a young age. We can help ourselves by getting involved in physical fitness programs early in our lives and as adults, sending the right message about a healthy lifestyle, along with helping support an organization aimed at helping our young people learn to read and better educate themselves along the way. “
The two-hour Katina Taylor Spin-A-Thon will include 50 available stationary, high performance cycling bikes, with riders pedaling to energetic music produced by popular Miami-based DJ, Irie.
The Cardio Camp for Kids, open to children ages 6-15, will take kids through four activity stations including basketball drills, fitness drills, tennis and Zumba. An after Spin party catered by Ligouri’s Fired Up will cap the evening’s events and will feature prizes, games and autograph signings by Katina and Jason.
Over 400 kids and adults are expected to attend the event. Participating sponsors include Audi of Pembroke Pines, Baptist Health Urgent Care, yoblendz-juiceblendz, West Broward Gymnastics Academy, Klein Mendez & Rothbard, LLC, Ligouri’s Fired Up Wood Oven Pizzeria, MY LIFE Home Fitness, Brown-Forman, Michael J. Alman, Esquire and SPG Speedgel.
