On Saturday, September 7, 2013, a new 49,000-square-foot 24 Hour Fitness® Super-Sport club will open in Tysons, Va. This is the third 24 Hour Fitness location to open in the greater Washington D.C. area. Last year, 24 Hour Fitness opened a club in Fall Church, Va., and in 2009, opened one in Annapolis, Md.
“Tysons caters to commuters, students and families, and our new club is conveniently located for busy people,” said Alvin Walcott, the club manager of the new location, in a statement. “We are pleased to make fitness more accessible to the community, with expertise and resources at a great value to inspire healthier lifestyles among people who live, work and play here.”
24 Hour Fitness’ Super-Sport clubs differ from other locations by offering members additional amenities, such as towel service, whirlpools and saunas. Most locations also offer basketball courts and swimming pools.
The Tysons location will boast an indoor lap pool, basketball court and racquetball court, in addition to equipment and group exercise classes.
