Merrithew Health & Fitness (MH&F), one of Canada’s largest fitness companies, commemorated its 25th anniversary with the Merrithew Mindful Movement World Tour. The tour visited 10 world-class cities in nine different countries to share the latest in mind-body modalities and exercise science with the global fitness community. Its last stop occurred in Toronto, Canada in early December.
The tour travelled more than 655,500 miles, touching down in Germany, China, Japan, Brazil, Australia, England, Mexico, Canada and the U.S., to offer first-class education through courses and workshops from MH&F’s branded programs including STOTT PILATES, ZENGA, CORE Athletic Conditioning & Performance Training, Total Barre and Halo Training.
Each of the symposiums took place over a three-day period and attracted mind-body exercise professionals who were excited to learn from MH&F’s team of Master Instructor Trainers. The World Tour attracted more than 1,200 fitness professionals and enthusiasts from around the globe and equipped them with the skills they needed to instruct and to participate in safe, responsible, fun and effective exercise.
“It has been a very humbling experience to see the impact that our programming and education has had on a global level,” said Lindsay G. Merrithew, the president and CEO of MH&F. “We’re very fortunate to have the most influential, inspirational individuals in mind-body exercise as members of the MH&F community. The opportunity to work with them to share our collective knowledge and enthusiasm for mindful movement is nothing short of incredibly rewarding.
MH&F is already planning upcoming symposiums for next year’s tour. The 2014 Merrithew Mindful Movement Tour will be designed for all members of the fitness community, to learn the latest in mind-body exercise with dates already planned for Cologne, Germany (April 4-6) and New York (May 2-4).
More tour dates will be announced in the near future and announced at http://www.merrithew.com/events/2014-symposiums.
