GymGroups, the company behind the health & fitness focused private social network and member retention solution, announced the complimentary availability of its sensory technology products.
GymGroups, a health & fitness software company dedicated to digitizing health clubs, just announced, as part of a new technology preview program, that it will start distributing its sensory products (based on iBeacon technology) free-of-charge.
“iBeacon is a revolutionary technology”, Emre Sokullu, the Founder and CEO of GymGroups said.
When highlighting the importance of iBeacon technology for the health and fitness industry, Sokullu said, “GymGroups’ proprietary algorithms uses our iBeacon based sensory technology, which enables gym members to check into machines automatically, without manual input. We use that data to populate a seamless brand-independent analytics dashboard for the gym owners and executives. The same data may also be used to share information on members’ activities on public and private social networks, as per the members’ preferences. That, in turn, increases member loyalty and brings new members to the club.”
The company offers its products in four subscription packages: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond.
- Bronze: Crossfit Locations; 8 beacons free of charge
- Silver: Small to Medium Clubs; 25 beacons free of charge
- Gold: Large Clubs; 60 beacons free of charge
- Diamond: Club Chains; Higher custom number of beacons free of charge
All subscription packages come with a 2-month complimentary trial of the GymGroups solution, after which a club can renew their partnership for a varying cost, keeping it commitment and risk-free.
While app customization requires an upgrade, the company hinted that select chains may be eligible for a free of charge custom branded application as part of the new partnership plan. A few large chains are already on board.
Sokullu said, “Our partnership program is a risk-free way for clubs to test our sensory iBeacon technology. Our plan is to demystify the barriers of member retention, providing clubs with a new and improved private social network and partnership proposition. Our primary focus for the next quarter will be around on-boarding new club chains.”
