National Federation of Professional Trainers will be presented with the honor of induction into the National Fitness Hall of Fame at the annual awards ceremony on September 13, in Addison, Illinois.
The event, which includes more than 100 health and fitness professionals, educators and enthusiasts, will be a formal event and ceremony for those past and present Hall of Fame inductees.
NFPT has been certifying fitness trainers since 1988, for over 27 years. Ron Clark, founder of National Federation of Professional Trainers, studied at Saddleback University in Mission Viejo, California, while stationed at Camp Pendleton. He served in the Marine Corps from 1975 to 1978, until a gunshot wound ended his military career and sent him home to rehab.
Clark spent a lot of time in therapy and rehab, which soon transitioned into an “addiction” to serious competitive training.
Clark holds NPC, AAU, Mr. Indiana and Mr. Purdue titles and is a retired firefighter, but his biggest professional accomplishment was building the family business – NFPT.
Today, National Federation of Professional Trainers continues to help fitness enthusiasts get a foothold in the personal training industry – turning passion to career. For its achievements and professional longevity in the fitness industry, NFPT is being inducted into the National Fitness Hall of Fame.
The National Fitness Hall of Fame was founded in 2004 to recognize and remember the lifelong efforts of individuals and organizations promoting health and fitness.
