StretchLab, the largest assisted stretching brand, announced it has officially reached 500 open locations in the U.S. alongside celebrating its most recent opening of StretchLab Honolulu in Hawaii. The opening of the Honolulu studio marks a milestone for the franchise as the first StretchLab to open its doors in the Aloha State’s capital city. The opening ushers in a first-of-its-kind achievement by officially surpassing 500 open studios globally and reaching 1,000 licenses awarded, solidifying its status as the leader of the modality with continued demand.
“Exceeding 500 locations just 10 months after celebrating 400 open locations, along with awarding over 1,000 licenses worldwide, is a testament to the rapid rise of this once-niche practice and how beneficial assisted stretching is for consumers across a variety of communities,” said Verdine Baker, the president of StretchLab. “Our franchisees are incredibly engaged and the locations are welcoming, making each StretchLab feel like a 2nd home for their members. We are grateful for the trust our members place in us and look forward to further expanding our footprint in 2025.”
“We are delighted to break in as the first StretchLab located in Honolulu to bring the relieving power of assisted stretching to the community,” said Cole Raven, the franchise owner of StretchLab Honolulu. “StretchLab has given my family the opportunity to open a business that is purpose-driven, community-centered, and genuinely changes lives for the better. With a really strong response from the community already, we are excited to see the positive impact that our Honolulu team will bring.”
StretchLab has studios located in 45 states and, in addition to Hawaii, opened new studios in more than 15 U.S. states in 2024. The brand also continues to grow internationally, with a presence in Australia, Canada, Mexico, Kuwait, Japan, and at sea across Princess Cruises’ fleet of cruise ships.
StretchLab proudly leads the industry in assisted stretching education as its Flexologist Training Program (FTP) was accredited by the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (ICE) at the end of 2022. Today, more than 5,400 trained Flexologists actively service clients in studios across North America. Backed by Xponential Fitness, a leading global franchisor of boutique health and wellness brands, StretchLab has a large and loyal following. Clients work one-on-one with highly trained Flexologists in an open, modern and friendly environment to increase mobility and flexibility and achieve a deeper, more advanced stretch than one can get on their own. Studios utilize Physmodo MAPS technology, which tracks mobility, muscle activation, posture, and body symmetry, to create individually tailored and holistic stretching programs for clients to achieve their wellness goals.
