One of the biggest challenges facility owners have is picking the right equipment for their facility. With so many manufacturers offering products in specific categories, it’s hard to find one company that can offer wall-to-wall solutions, delivering outstanding products in each category and the training to support it. It is for this reason that FreeMotion Fitness is adding cardio and traditional strength products under the FreeMotion brand. Buyers can find all of their cardio, functional and traditional strength product needs in FreeMotion equipment with the added value of customer support and training.
“We are very excited to bring cardio, traditional strength and functional strength equipment together under the FreeMotion brand name,” says Patrick Hald, FreeMotion Fitness President and COO. “The FreeMotion brand has become synonymous with revolutionary fitness products that shape the fitness industry today. By integrating FreeMotion Cardio and FreeMotion EPIC with the original FreeMotion circuit of functional equipment, the philosophy of training the way you move branches out to all categories of our fitness equipment.”
FreeMotion Does Cardio?
FreeMotion Cardio starts with a robust, durable machine and integrates innovative technologies and intuitive functions. Each piece is designed to enhance the user’s workout and offer worry-free operation and maintenance. Unique to this line of treadmills and incline trainers is the DRVS (Direct Rear Velocity System), a rear-drive motor system that runs cooler, cleaner and quieter; reduces belt-wear, and requires less maintenance. By positioning the motor and hood at the back, the running surface has a smooth, roomy feel while making it easy to access the motor during routine maintenance.
The DRVS motor system features many components which contribute to its fluid performance and longevity. Unlike other treadmills on the market, the DRVS motor system pulls (rather than pushes) the tread belt, which provides direct, consistent belt tension and alleviates some of the stress on bearings and rollers. Less stress equals less maintenance. The new vector motor controller provides direct feedback to the motor which allows it to automatically adjust every time a user’s foot hits the deck. To the user, this means a smooth, consistent workout, and it means an efficient, long-life motor for the owner.
Positioning the motor and hood in the back of the machine provides a variety of benefits to both the owner and user. With the motor at the rear of the machine, it is convenient to access for maintenance – no need to move cumbersome equipment around to get at the hood. This allows the user to optimize more of the running surface to accommodate longstride lengths once inhibited with the hood at the front of the machine. The hood provides users a convenient step from the floor and three inches from the step to belt, for easy entry/exit of the machine on a stationary surface.
Traditional and Functional in One Family
FreeMotion EPIC brings fixed-isolated and free-weight equipment to another level with FreeMotion’s reputation for ingenuity and reliability. Known for its heavy-duty capacity and ease of use, the EPIC line of traditional strength equipment completes FreeMotion’s offering of wall-to-wall equipment solutions. The FreeMotion EPIC line consists of a 12-piece selectorized circuit and 19 free-weight pieces. Recent additions to the free-weight line include the PlateLoaded Leg Press and Olympic Plate and Bar Rack.
The FreeMotion EPIC PlateLoaded Leg Press and Olympic Plate and Bar Rack are designed to withstand the rigors of the weight room. The Rack can hold up to 1270 lbs. of Olympic-sized weight plates, and conveniently stores two Olympic bars. Constructed from 11-gauge steel, the frame is electrostatically powder-coated for a long-lasting, durable finish. When designing the PlateLoaded Leg Press, careful consideration was taken to make it easy to enter/exit the machine. The angled load arms, platform position and the raised, adjustable seat make it easy to get on and workout without compromising body position.

Cardio workouts help me attain a healthy weight. I was having a big tummy last year and cardio really helped flattened my belly.
Everyday i would do at least an hour of Cardio workout and this routine alone helped me regain my lean body. Cardio is really good for burning down the extra fats you get on your tummy.
