Your job is to listen to your members and potential members. You must accurately hear what they are saying and not saying. You need to be aware of all verbal and nonverbal signals as these are very important in communication.
Find out what your potential members want, need and do not want. You must learn how and when you can help the potential member. To do this you must watch and listen to your potential members on high alert and high receive. Make sure to let nothing get by you that comes out of your potential members mouths.
Ask interesting questions and listen carefully. Take notes and do not worry about what to say next. Focus on the potential member and give them your undivided attention.
