David Energy emerged out of a desire to solve the real-world challenge of a 100% clean energy grid.

James McGinniss, the CEO and co-founder of David Energy, was in a PhD program studying battery science when he became obsessed with the idea of operating the grid on renewables. And so he left to found a company to do just that. David Energy has been mission-driven from the start. They've always been dedicated to building technologies to address the problems – and potential – of tomorrow. They believe that to do that they have to deliver something fundamentally better.
