I walked into a local club the other day, as I was looking for a different place to train. When I entered the club, after being let in through a locked door, I was greeted by the owner, who asked me a few questions. He showed me around the club and I asked a few questions, but never was I asked to fill out any type of guest log so that he would have my information if I decided not to join his club. We spend a lot of dollars, and every lead is very important. We know that we will not always close every guest on the first visit, that’s why it is so important to collect basic information, such as a phone number, address and/or email, so we can market to them in various ways if they don’t join on the first visit. If you’re not collecting information before you give someone a tour, you are greatly missing out on sales.
