Adding Revenue and Profit to your Bottom Line

Your customers are looking for ways to stave-off aging, whether through diet and exercise, creams and lotions, surgical procedures or spa treatments, everyone wants to look their best, and they are all searching for the magic bullet that can keep aging at bay.

Isn’t this why your customers come and workout? Of course the health benefits of working out are enormous, but with a fitness routine also comes a better physique, more vitality, boosted self esteem, and increased energy – all equating to looking, acting and feeling younger. So, what else can you offer your customers that will keep them at your facility longer; increase their spending per visit; increase the number of visits, and make them feel and look better than ever? Add tanning and spa treatments!

People look and feel better with a tan, and including tanning services at your facility will make it more convenient for your patrons – and of course, increase your revenue. Studies show that 10% of your male customers and 15% of your female customers are already tanning someplace else. Why not get that revenue instead of sending them somewhere else?

Now, here is the added bonus that can increase your revenue even more: Add non-invasive spa treatments to your offerings. Brand new on the market is a revolutionary product that is a tanning bed combined with an LED (lightemitting diode) photo modulation panel used for face rejuvenation. The LED unit gives off low energy light pulses that can help skin appear smoother and younger looking. Light therapy technology is used in doctor’s offices and at spas as part of skin enhancement treatments, and is now available in combination with tanning in the new revolutionary spa bed.

According to studies made by NASA at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Alabama, scientists exposed plants aboard the Space Shuttle to test the near infrared lights produced by these LEDs. They found that the LEDs increased the energy produced in the mitochondria (energy compartments) of each cell. That meant the cells grew faster. Also, LED treatments are used in the space program when an astronaut cuts himself whilst in space; otherwise, the wound heals much more slowly than it would on Earth. LED treatments are used in wound treatment to speed up healing.

As well as the beautifying effects of the LED panel, tanning beds also emit ultra-violet light which is responsible for the synthesis of Vitamin D in the skin, and according to a recent study by Roger Bouillon, PhD, over one billion people are deficient in this “sunshine vitamin,” leaving them susceptible to a compromised immune system.

Cosmetic light treatments usually go for hundreds of dollars per session, but your customers can reap the benefits for a fraction of the cost in your facility. The process only takes 20 minutes per session, with no recovery time. Customers can easily operate the unit themselves with no training, in three modes – rejuvenation and tanning, tanning alone or rejuvenation alone. This new rejuvenating spa bed requires no special training for employees either; it operates just as easily as a tanning bed. This unit can bring customers in for both treatments – to tan or to rejuvenate. So, you may never have the unit sitting unused and not making you money.

If you already offer massage or other spa-like treatments, the spa bed is a perfect fit. Customers can workout; enjoy sauna or steam; get a massage; tan and rejuvenate – all at your club – instead of taking the time and spending the money with several other providers that offer these products and services.

The benefits? Your club offers a onestop- shop for revitalizing customers and satisfying their needs, and you increase revenues for each service you provide. The process also brings in repeat customers. The recommendation for the program is a regime of three sessions per week for the first month and then once a week for maintenance and repeat. In addition, optimum results have been found when using the rejuvenating spa bed in combination with skin treatments, which can further bring in additional revenue – because customers can buy these highly profitable products from you.

With the busy lives of your customers, the search for the fountain of youth, and a competitive business environment, adding moneymaking new products and services to your mix satisfies all accounts. Increase revenue, help your customers to look and feel younger and better, and offer services your competition is not offering – that is a formula for success.
