SAN RAMON, Calif. – 24 Hour Fitness has gone ‘mobile’. The company recently introduced My24 – an iPhone application and Mobile Web site that brings fitness management features directly to a mobile device. Users can now locate clubs while on the move, review club amenities, look up class schedules and access a variety of fitness tools.
Although the application was designed with 24 Hour Fitness members in mind, it is also available to the general public without a log-in requirement. “Everyone is welcome to download the app,” said Tony Wells, chief marketing officer. “At 24 Hour Fitness, we pride ourselves on providing members unsurpassed access to products and services to help them achieve their fitness goals.”
Features of the My24 iPhone app include:
- Club Finder – My24 lists nearby clubs when users enter a local zip code on their handheld device or quickly find clubs using the “search by city” or “advanced search” functions. iPhone users can auto-locate clubs using GPS technology
- Club Details – My24 users can retrieve club location information, club photographs, and full lists of available club amenities.
- Class Schedule Finder – Allows users to search for upcoming classes at specific club locations; includes details such as names instructors and class formats
