Quarterly personal training assistance is one of my favorite ways to boost retention as well as increase revenue in your personal training services. All too often, clubs are fighting to give less and take more away from their clients. In fact, it’s not uncommon for me to hear from club owners who refuse to give any type of introductory session to their new members, let alone increased support. Unfortunately for these facilities they are flat out wrong. I’ve mentioned it before but our industry is becoming more and more about results and the user experience. We are no longer big muscles and leotards. The fitness industry is changing and you must change with it.
The concept is simple; offer your members complementary fitness support throughout their memberships. Quarterly assistance is a great way to keep your members using the facility on a regular basis and to hold them accountable. Quarterly assistance will actually lead to more personal training and other supplemental sales. It will also make the sales process for your personal trainers easier. After all, they will be building a relationship with your members over time, not just trying to close them on PT.
