Even if you are a new club, and especially if you have been around for a long time, you need to recognize your longest lasting and most loyal members. Create a “Wall of Fame” or a “Charter Member Club” in a place that is visible to your membership base. This could be a plaque with brass or other nameplates. Insert your members who have been with you the longest — let’s say longer than two years if you are newer, and more than five years if you are established. Fill as many spaces as you can, send a letter to the member recognizing their accomplishment and leave the remaining spaces blank on the plaque.
Each time a member reaches a milestone recognize them personally. Also, since every health club should have a newsletter, add a section to yours that announces these milestone members to the rest of the membership base.
