According to Star Trac, its new TreadClimber® received positive reviews at the 2012 Club Industry Trade Show in Las Vegas, Nev. The TreadClimber promises to burn significantly more calories than a similar treadmill workout, with lower-perceived exertion.
Functionally, the TreadClimber moves like a treadmill and an elliptical, while preserving the best of both due to the exclusive patented motion of the decks. Other benefits include more flexion at the hip and knee for more muscle engagement and a better overall lower-body workout.
“The industry response to the progress of the TreadClimber was fantastic — we had so many positive responses to both the mechanical design and the overall look that we couldn’t be happier,” said Jeff Dilts, the senior director of marketing and product management for Star Trac.
The TreadClimber is scheduled to launch to the general public at the IHRSA 2013 International Convention and Trade Show.
