Cybex International, Inc. announced the launch of its Plate-Loaded Kneeling Leg Curl, the company’s latest release in its line of strength-training machines.
Improving upon an earlier design, the new Plate-Loaded Kneeling Leg Curl features ergonomic upright positioning and forearm pads, both of which ensure the comfort of users and reduce the possibility of hyperextension in the spine.
The product’s cam and cable drive system also allows it to recreate the proper strength profile to a degree that lever-based systems cannot.
“For the free-weight user, the machines provide the opportunity to train in patterns not achievable with dumbbells, bars or cables,” said Steve Suchanek, the director of product management for Cybex. According to Suchanek, the leg curl “is an excellent addition to leg training as it allows the individual to directly target the hamstrings.”
