Starting July 18, 2013, all Town Sports International (TSI) clubs, including New York Sports Clubs, Boston Sports Clubs, Washington Sports Clubs and Philadelphia Sports Clubs, have opened their doors to the public for free workouts, every time the temperature hits 90 degrees or above.
“When the temperature reaches over 90 degrees, it is not safe for people to work up a sweat outside,” said Chris Ruta, the VP of fitness at New York Sports Clubs, in a statement. “We are opening our doors to allow people to enjoy the A/C and stay safe while working out in the summer heat.”
There is one limitation — the offer is not valid Monday through Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m, which are peak traffic times for members. In addition, participants must be at least 18 years of age and will need to show photo ID. In order to redeem the offer, participants need only reference the “heat wave promotion” at the front desk of any location.
