Presented by Peak Pilates®, the Pilates Empowerment Summit announced that it has opened registration for the fitness event taking place Oct. 18 to Oct. 20, 2013 in Dallas, Texas. Attendees can expect more than 75 sessions by top presenters and Master Instructors covering exciting, new programming and instructor trainings, certifications, as well as engaging team-building activities and networking opportunities.
Highlights of the Pilates Empowerment Summit include an opening mat class titled “Moving with the Masters.” Colleen Glenn, Clare Dunphy, Zoey Trap and an all-star team of top Peak Pilates® Master Instructors will take attendees through a classical, multi-level mat master class. Additional sessions include “Pregnancy & Pilates,” to explore the limitations and risks associated with the pregnant client; “Through the Eyes of an Elder” to learn about the amazing Pilates Master Lolita San Miguel who is one of the living Pilates Elders; “Yoga on the Reformer” to learn to savor the sensation of moving meditation that joins asana with reformer; and “Ugi® Fit Flow” the ultimate 30-minute workout that combines strength, cardio and core training in a fun and challenging way.
“This summit is the very first of its kind, bringing together the classical Pilates and fitness communities with a variety of unique educational sessions and intensive programming,” said Mad Dogg Athletics’ vice president of programs and education Kevin Steele. “Our goal is to provide industry professionals and enthusiasts an opportunity to connect and grow their practice.”
Teachers looking to expand their certifications into other fitness routines can join the pre-conference education sessions including MVe Chair Instructor Workshop, Group Reformer Instructor Workshop, Basic Mat, Ugi® Instructor Training, Burn at the Barre™ Certification, and KettleBell Concepts: Level 1 Introduction to Kettlebell Lifting.
