Those involved with functional training have an even larger and more dynamic piece of equipment to work with now, with Cybex’s Bravo Pro All-In-One Functional Trainer.
The trainer has 77 percent greater cable travel, as well as two 400-pound weight stacks and a higher chin-up bar. It is the latest in the Bravo line, which has included the Bravo Lift, Bravo Pull, Bravo Functional Trainer and Bravo Press.
Cable width of the trainer is adjustable for the user’s convenience, and Progressive Stabilization technology is still in use for the new trainer. This patented technology allows the user to lift heavier loads.
“It means that users can increase core strength and workload simultaneously,” said Ben Wilde, the International Training Director at the Cybex Research Institute, in a news release. “In fact, independent research conducted at the University of Massachusetts shows that Progressive Stabilization yielded a 212 percent increase in load capacity and a 184 percent increase in core activation. Based on those numbers, users can lift nearly three times more weight and get three times the core muscle activation during a workout. No freestanding cable device can match those results.”
This technology has also produced the Progressive Stabilization Pad that adjusts for height and horizontal position of the equipment, which gives more stabilization to the user while exercising. It can also be adjusted for only partial stability if needed for a particular workout. This technology has allowed trainers to create new and unique programs using the trainer.
“The new Cybex Bravo Pro offers users a wide range of conditioning options, which can work to help them through the stages of growth from beginner to elite athlete,” Wilde continued.
The Bravo Pro All-In-One Functional trainer is the latest in a line of products from Cybex International, Inc., which manufactures equipment after evaluation by the Cybex Research Institute. Using research, equipment from the company is then engineered to produce results in a wide range of users.
Cybex has equipment in more than 85 countries throughout the world, and makes products fro both commercial and home gyms.
