Android users will now have access to EZFacility’s MemberMe mobile app, which allows for cloud-based scheduling and communication. The app has already been available in the Apple store, and is compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
The application was developed by EZFacility specifically for health and fitness clubs, in addition to recreation facilities. It allows customers to view schedules of classes at their gym and book sessions with personal trainers.
MemberMe also provides facility information such as hours, driving directions and contact information. Users of the app can share via Facebook and e-mail when they have booked a session at a club, as well as special offers or locations of a particular gym.
On the other side of the club, administrators can use push notifications within the app to alert members about schedule changes and other club news. The customizable feature of the app allows clubs to determine what members have access to on their phone.
In addition to the release on the Android market, EZFacility has also improved the app as a whole to include one feature that can track member usage and one that can manage and edit images. The latest update on the iPhone also included an optimization of the home screen and new thumbnails for the news within the app.
“MemberMe is a valued resource that complements our user-friendly software solutions,” said Eric Willin, the COO of EZFacility, Inc., in a news release. “Its compatibility with Android smartphones not only expands the app’s user base, it assures our clients are connecting with most, if not all, of their members and therefore improves their bottom line.”
The Apple iPhone is still the most popular smartphone in the U.S., but Android is right behind, giving EZFacility a large customer base to pull from with the introduction of the Android MemberMe app.
EZFacility was launched in 2003 as a division of Jonas Software and with a goal of streamlining operations in the health and fitness industry, including scheduling and membership.
