Jeffrey G. Zwiefel, 51, has been appointed to the position of Chief Operating Officer of Life Time Fitness. Zwiefel joined the company in December 1998 as vice president of Life Time Fitness’ Health Enhancement Division.
“Since joining our company, Jeff has served as a trusted business partner to me and our executive leadership team,” said Bahram Akradi, the chairman, president and CEO of Life Time Fitness, in a press release. “He brings a disciplined and passionate approach to leadership and our organizational mission, along with a proven track record of delivering results in each of the areas he has held responsibility. Additionally, Jeff has played a critical role in the design and execution of our many programs and services designed to provide unparalleled member experiences.”
Prior to Zwiefel’s work with Life Time, he served as vice president of product development for NordicTrack, Inc.
In August 2013, Life Time Fitness announced that Michael R. Robinson, the company’s current chief financial officer and executive vice president, would retire in early 2014. The company has not yet announced a replacement.
Life Time Fitness currently boasts 107 locations across the U.S and Canada. As of October 29, 2013, Life Time Fitness stock (NYSE: LTM) was valued at $47.17, down -0.07 percent.
