Nautilus, Inc. has unveiled new designs and functionality for a new suite of Schwinn® cardio equipment. The cardio products include upright and recumbent bikes, as well as ellipticals. Special features include a proprietary DualTrack™ LCD display, USB media charge console and new acoustic speakers. In addition, Nautilus has partnered with MyFitnessPal®, so users can seamlessly sync their Schwinn® workouts and automatically update calories burned on their MyFitnessPal® account.
“Building a product that is capable of connecting with fitness communities as large as 40 million users is an exciting first for our company,” said Bruce Cazenave, the CEO of Nautilus, Inc. “We are pleased to bring this innovative new cardio equipment to the market that will give consumers greater accessibility and ease-of-use in tracking their fitness goals through our brand new SchwinnConnect™ website. In addition, partnering with MyFitnessPal® will provide the benefit of tracking accurate calorie burn and diet through the day.”
According to Nautilus, these product enhancements are based on substantial consumer research and feedback that found consumers want the ability to pursue their fitness routines with the ability to multi-task.
The new line of Schwinn® products features the proprietary DualTrack™ LCD display, which allows users to use their favorite electronics, but still see their fitness activity. The enhanced goal-tracking functionality records time, distance and calories. Other features include 29 motivational workout programs, four individualized user settings and goal tracking to measure results. Users can upload their results via USB to the SchwinnConnect™ website for weekly, monthly and yearly progress tracking, which then automatically uploads to their MyFitnessPal® account.
“Schwinn® is an iconic brand with a strong history of innovation, and we are thrilled to partner with them to provide our community of users with data from workouts on their Schwinn® equipment,” said Mike Lee, the co-founder of MyFitnessPal Inc. “Through the SchwinnConnect™ site, MyFitnessPal® users will be able to view their fitness progress in conjunction with their diet and be better equipped to make active and healthy decisions.”
The new Schwinn® products are now available at retail stores at prices ranging from $299 to $799.
