Due to the success and uptake of the innovative Australian company “Dumbags – Smart Weights,” its team has begun work on the next round of products to be released. These will include water-filled bags, metal-shot filled bags and the launch of its first-ever gym in Melbourne, Australia in 2014.
“Dumbags – Smart Weights” is known for its purpose-built sandbags designed to eliminate the major problems associated with metal kettlebells and dumbbells, such as personal injury, property damage, noise, portability issues, storage and cost.
Founded by Michael Coates with his two sons, “Dumbags – Smart Weights” has proved successful amongst both men and women. However, the family team was surprised by the positive response from parents wanting a quiet and safe weights system for their kids. Dumbags has also found a new fan base in the middle-aged, elderly and health rehabilitation markets.
