MiGym Offers Clubs No-Risk Way to Go Mobile

iphone-w_gyms_v2MiGym, the premier app platform for the fitness industry, is launching a free custom app offer. Fitness centers that sign up with MiGym before November 20th, 2014, will receive free, custom-branded iPhone and android apps to promote their club and increase member loyalty.

As part of the promotion, MiGym will waive the start-up fee and all monthly subscription fees for eligible fitness centers until 500 users have downloaded the app and are actively using it. To qualify, fitness clubs must have more than 1,000 members.

With MiGym, clubs can stay accessible to their members at all times, providing mobile access to class schedules, special offers, club updates and facility information. The free app promotion includes personalized interactive schedules, push notifications, club check-in, social network integration, sharable promotions, member referral features, travel passes, usage analytics and more.

“Every day I’m amazed at the results customers have been able to achieve with their mobile apps,” said George Monical, the CEO of MiGym. “When I talk about the download and retention rates that gyms are experiencing, some club managers can hardly believe it.”

“Any software should add value from day one,” Monical continued. “This is a low-risk way to trial a custom app. It gives gym managers and staff time to experiment, learn, and prove out the retention and acquisition benefits.”

Besides the member benefits, a club’s app reduces staff time for routine tasks and drives greater revenue. As members self-service more frequently, staff spend more time building relationships, creating community and upselling services.

Once a club achieves 500 active users, standard app fees apply ($299 for the first location and $50 per additional facility).

“Macro-trends demonstrate that individuals are going ‘mobile-first,’” said Monical. “That, combined with our confidence in the product, allows MiGym to assume all of the risk for launching a club’s custom app. As long as Gyms sign up before November 20th we should be able to get their apps live before the New Year rush.”
