WELLBEATS announced that Jason Von Bank was appointed president and CEO. Von Bank is charged with driving the company’s growth plan, expanding on the industry’s largest installed base of virtual presentation systems around the world.
“Jason brings substantial and relevant industry expertise and a stellar track record. He is a proven leader in developing and scaling wellness businesses and is one of the best business development guys I have seen in my career,” said Mike Gerend, chairman of the WELLBEATS board. “Jason rounds out a team that has built a strong operation and driven terrific growth to date. He takes over from Ed McConaghay after an important time of strategic repositioning and rebranding to focus on the company’s core fitness and wellness content and programing capabilities. This is an exciting next step in the growth of WELLBEATS. We thank Ed McConaghay for his excellent service and for bringing us to this point where we can welcome Jason to the team.”
Von Bank was most recently at Schwan’s Home Service where he led business development and served as managing director of the Schwan’s Cares business, an online fundraising business that leveraged its nationwide direct-to-home delivery network, serving over 4,000 organizations and national partners and clients including USA Hockey, the National PTA, 4-H, the National Sports Center, Special Olympics and others. Prior to Schwan’s, Von Bank held leadership and executive roles at Life Time Fitness and OptumHealth.
A degree in International Business from St. Thomas University, an MBA from the University of Chicago and senior management experience with General Electric rounds out a career focused on building strong businesses through sound and scalable operations, compelling value propositions, value-add partnerships and proven management skills. Von Bank is on the board for Special Olympics, Minnesota, and just concluded a six-year stint on the Allina Health Hospice foundation board.
