Although hundreds of products may have been on display at IHRSA 2015, one thing is clear: The show isn’t just about products. In fact, it’s more about the industry’s people, and how they’re driving it forward.
This was clear during Club Solutions’ first interview with Maureen Hagan, the VP of operations and head of fitness training at GoodLife Fitness. When asked what she loved most about attending IHRSA, she said it was having the opportunity to learn from others in the industry and come together as a community.
Many of the other people we met with echoed this sentiment, including Adam Sedlack, the president of UFC Gym. “Every year [the IHRSA trade show] gets a little bit better,” he said. “I think it’s as much about the innovation of all the equipment that comes out and technology, as it seeing all of our friends in the industry.”
Sedlack also said he’d love to learn more about the people behind some of the biggest brands in the industry and what makes them tick.
Moving forward, Club Solutions plans to do just that. In the following months, keep an eye out for more stories on what leaders in the industry do to not only be successful, but also have fun. Hopefully, these stories will not only help you improve your business, but provide a source of entrepreneurial inspiration.
At Club Solutions, we often write about the importance of fostering community among your members. We hope to do so among the health and fitness industry as a whole, as well.
Stay tuned.
