“You better watch out, you better not cry, better not pout, I’m telling you why: Santa Claus is coming to town.”
In just a couple of days, children across the U.S. will be celebrating the Holidays. Some of those children will be dreaming of milk and cookies and reindeer, hoping a jolly man in a red suit pays their home a visit in the night.
But just because we’re not children, that doesn’t mean we can’t also wish for gifts from Jolly Old St. Nick. Here, gym owners across the U.S. share their Gym Holiday Wish List, disclosing the items they’re currently coveting the most.
For Julie Goodchild, the sales and marketing manager for Cincinnati Sports Club, space is a sought-after item. “I would like space available for a private training studio,” she said. “We are always fighting for space, but always expanding, so maybe one day.”
The same goes for Kay Yuspeh, the owner of Elite Sports Clubs. “I think the one thing that I would really want is more space in my fitness center for more functional training,” she said. “I love the big jungle gyms and a boxing ring. But when you are dealing with existing buildings, it is difficult to keep adding equipment without adding more space.”
For Chris Salisbury, the owner of Hive Lifespan Center, a particular piece of equipment is on the list. “If money grew on trees our next purchase would be Woodway treadmills to replace our current models,” he said. “…They offer an amazing experience, provide accurate feedback, but most importantly, have an extremely long lifespan. Furthermore they are ANT+ heart rate compatible, so any current wearable ANT+ heart rate device will connect, which is super important.”
In addition, Salisbury is also hoping for an update to an existing product. “I’d like to replace our [Total Gym] Gravity GTS units with the newest style,” he said. “Gravity is our top performing ‘Team Training Plus’ class, and the new model is just that much better.”
There are a number of exciting, innovative and new products on the market for you to wish for. Despite whether you’ve been naughty or nice this year, I’d like to know: What’s on your gym’s holiday wish list?
