CycleBar is teaming up with March of Dimes at studios across the nation to help fund lifesaving research and programs that work to end premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality. To raise funds and awareness for the cause in a fun, high-energy atmosphere, several CycleBar locations will be hosting “I Got You Babe” rides as part of its CycleGiving initiative.
On Saturday, March 25th, more than 54 studios will participate in the event. Events are planned in markets across the country, including major metropolitan areas such as Raleigh, Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Houston and Denver. The $25 signup fee secures a bike for participants, and all proceeds will directly benefit the March of Dimes foundation. Representatives from March of Dimes will be available at each ride to discuss additional planned events in the local markets.
“Our CycleGiving events are an important part of our community involvement. While our studios are always planning events to benefit local causes, coming together as one unit to raise awareness on the same day is a powerful feeling,” said Heather Harris, president of CycleBar. “We’re particularly honored to be working on behalf of the March of Dimes, as the work they’ve done has touched the life of one of our own.”
The March of Dimes has had a personal impact on the CycleBar team, as the brand’s Director of Giving Michelle Hitchcock received support from the organization after the premature birth of her son one year ago. Born 13 weeks early, Hitchcock’s son Samuel spent 66 days in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
“My family would not be the same without the generous and thoughtful help we received from March of Dimes. What started as the most terrifying experience of my entire life has become one of my greatest blessings,” Hitchcock said. “Now, one year after his birth, my son is happy and healthy. I owe so much to the March of Dimes, and it’s so special to us to work with them.”
