The annual Club Solutions Leadership Retreat will take place September 9-11, 2020, at the five-star Ritz-Carlton, Rancho Mirage. Forty health club owners and operators alongside limited sponsors will gather for two days of roundtable discussions, networking and fun. The Retreat is an intimate event designed to connect and build relationships among peers and suppliers.
The event kicks off the first morning with the first annual Club Solutions Golf Scramble at the Indian Wells golf course.
Attendees will dive into six roundtables over two days with topics including:
- Developing a High Functioning Team
- Implementing Five-Star Hospitality
- Marketing that Generates Sales
- Technology: Enhancing the Personal Training Experience
- Retention: Specific Strategies for Retaining More Members
- Cancellations of the Future: Where the Industry is Going
Roundtables topics are formulated based on attendee suggestions, feedback and the editorial team. For example, the “Implementing a Five-Star Hospitality” topic is one that many attendees from the 2019 Retreat highly recommended for this year’s event. The conversation of exceeding customer expectations started at the 2019 event, and many health clubs are looking for ways to differentiate themselves through hospitality and defining what that looks like at each of their clubs. The Club Solutions team is excited to continue this conversation and dive into it more at the 2020 event.
The event moderator, Blair McHaney — the CEO of MXM, a Medallia Company — will be leading attendees and sponsors through discussions that will produce tangible takeaways and insight for any size health club operation.

The Club Solutions Leadership Retreat also facilitates a lot of fun. Attendees will participate in a wine tasting competition planned for the first night. Attendees will also experience a private dinner at the Edge Steakhouse on property the second evening, hosted by premier sponsor, TSG.
