Exerp, a global IT and software service for the fitness and leisure industry, announced on March 17 a new long-term strategic partnership contract with the PureGym Group, the leading European gym operator with gyms in the U.K., Denmark and Switzerland.
Exerp has been reappointed by the PureGym Group as its member management system provider. Exerp is the leading member management system for enterprise fitness operators and already operates in 16 countries providing services to a broad range of operators. Additionally, Exerp has worked in the past with both of the PureGym Group’s major brands — PureGym in the U.K. and Fitness World in Denmark — but this new contract represents a complete reset of arrangements for the future.
“We are delighted to be recommitting to our partnership with the PureGym Group,” said Rémi Nodet, the CEO of Exerp. “We will be providing them with a full suite of leading edge, cloud-based software services coupled to ongoing professional development support. We first worked with PureGym when the business had just 50 sites and are proud to have contributed to the Group’s growth to over 500 sites now. We have grown substantially over this time, but we have never lost track of the importance of the fundamentals: reliable, secure software; a highly scalable platform; and a complete dedication to customer service. We look forward to applying our versatile, scalable and proven software to supporting PureGym as it grows to 1,000 sites and beyond.”
After a challenging time for the gyms and fitness industry, this partnership will help the PureGym Group minimize risk and disruption to both of their major business units. The contract will provide PureGym operations in Denmark and Switzerland with an accelerated route to using the full suite of features created on the Exerp software as a service platform.
Furthermore, the new partnership will fully enable and support the development of the PureGym Group’s ongoing international development activities in the U.S. and with the Group’s first franchising partner in Saudi Arabia.
“PureGym Group is one of a small number of “premier league” operators in the rapidly developing global budget gym industry and the effective application of technology to every aspect of our business is critical to our success,” said Humphrey Cobbold, the CEO of PureGym. “We have worked with Exerp for many years, but this new, forward-looking partnership represents a complete reset of our technical strategy and commercial arrangements. The application of technology, data, business information and increasingly AI is, and always has been, critical to our business. This renewed mutual commitment with Exerp is a critical future component of our strategy and we look forward to many years of successful collaboration.”
