Fit for Kids’ Sake!, a national health and well-being advocate group today announced their inaugural International Fitness Day occurring on October 30. The International Fitness Day event was established as a day dedicated to help recognize the importance of health and fitness for everyone worldwide.
People around the world will be spending at least 30 minutes exercising and making the healthiest choices all day. It’s the day for everyone to celebrate, promote or renew their passion for health and fitness. It could also be a time for people to kick-start a new healthy lifestyle. By implementing this official “Fitness Day,” it is the organization’s intent that it will help many people begin the process of making healthy choices every day.
“People are busier than ever these days and finding it harder to take the time to focus on implementing a healthy lifestyle,” said Dina Skulte, the founder of Fit for Kids’ Sake!. “With that in mind, Fit for Kids’ Sake! Is introducing International Fitness Day to help people stop and take 30-minutes to dedicate themselves to exercise and healthy eating choices. I envision employees at companies taking 30 minutes and going for a walk around their building together, or bringing in oatmeal and fruit, instead of bagels and muffins to the office. I picture families and neighborhoods going to a park or community center and having fun races or setting up obstacle courses. I can even see people creating an International Fitness Day Party, inviting friends and family to participate in a healthy meal and going for a 30-minute walk.
“I would love to see the world come together for something that is good for everyone, regardless of ethnicity and/or religious beliefs.” People are encouraged to register and sign-up for free at http://www.internationalfitnessday.com. Everyone, from individuals and groups, are encouraged to sign-up.
