24 Hour Fitness celebrated grand openings of two new California locations on Saturday, July 23. The 24 Hour Fitness® North Hollywood Super-Sport club marks the company’s 68th facility in the greater Los Angeles area and was built with a specific, sustainable focus in mind. In addition to providing members access to state-of-the-art amenities, equipment and instruction, the club will foster a spirit of environmental responsibility through several operational designs aimed at reducing water and energy consumption.
The 43,000-square-foot club will employ more than 75 team members. The facility was specifically designed to reduce its environmental impact. Greener features will include natural lighting, automated lighting control, ENERGY STAR appliances, low-energy machines, efficient HVAC, in-house recycling and a cardless check-in option for members. The location is also easily accessible via alternative transportation, conveniently located near mass transit and has ample bicycle parking.
“We’re thrilled to be expanding our presence in Los Angeles and making fitness even more accessible to our members in the North Hollywood area,” said Danny De La Rosa, the division president for 24 Hour Fitness. “In a city that has been at the forefront of the sustainability movement, we’re excited to bring our members a more environmentally conscious fitness experience.”
The 24 Hour Fitness® Burbank Empire Super-Sport club location celebrated its grand opening on Saturday with Burbank Mayor, Jess Talamantes. Talamantes declared Saturday “Healthy Burbank Day” on behalf of the club opening.
The 40,000-square-foot club will employ more than 100 team members and will offer local residents an indoor lap pool, a variety of strength and cardio equipment and a full-sized outdoor basketball court.
