STRONG Pilates, a global fitness franchise combining Pilates with cardio and strength training, will celebrate the opening of its 100th studio in Garwood, New Jersey, on Saturday, August 9. STRONG Garwood is the fifth studio for the franchise network to open in the U.S., now operating in 14 countries. The world-first fitness format utilises the exclusive Rowformer and Bikeformer machines — a reformer bed fitted with a rower or a bike — to provide fitness-goers with a full-body, high intensity and low impact workout. Since its inception in 2019, the Australian-born brand has attracted 4.65 million bookings, a vibrant community of 37,400-plus members, and over 1,000 certified instructors trained globally.
Founded and self-funded by Michael Ramsey and Mark Armstrong, STRONG Pilates has seen incredible growth, doubling its overall network revenue in the last 12 months to USD $32 million. Average revenue per studio rose by nearly 15% over the same period, with over 50% of sites operated by multi-site franchisees — a signal of strong market confidence and scalable economics.

Now, the brand is looking to strengthen its presence in the U.S, prioritising locations in key metropolitan markets, including Greater New York City, Los Angeles County, Orange County, San Francisco, San Diego, Houston, Dallas, Brooklyn, San Jose, Greater Boston, Greater Chicago, and Orlando. The enhanced expansion plan will include 96 studios in partnership with Momentic Studios, along with 30 single and multi-site franchise agreements and up to 30 corporate-owned studios. Studio locations currently operating include STRONG Garwood, Stone Oak, Cinco Ranch, Commack, Williston Park and later this month, Central Austin.
