Crunch Fitness is once again calling on the fitness community to “Love their Muscles” in support of the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s efforts to help find a cure for ALS, a debilitating muscular disease. In the month of February, Crunch’s “Love Your Muscles” campaign, powered by a dedicated website at www.loveyourmuscles.com, will provide various avenues for Crunch members and non-members to participate, donate and support MDA’s Augie’s Quest fundraising initiatives.
Augie’s Quest was founded by fitness pioneer and founder of Life Fitness, Augie Nieto. Augie was diagnosed with ALS in March 2005, and since, has made it his personal mission to find a cure for the terminal disease by partnering with the MDA to create Augie’s Quest. Since their inception, Augie’s Quest has raised over $30 million for MDA.
Throughout February, Crunch has committed to donating $5 for every new membership and $10 for every new personal training package purchased to MDA’s Augie’s Quest. Members can get in on the action by registering for an intensive group fitness weekend workshop, offered throughout the month, giving participants an extended version of their favorite classes. They can show their muscles some love by keeping them stylish with either a Love Your Muscles eco-friendly tee or hoodie or by simply donating directly on behalf of their favorite muscle (butt, biceps or pecs) and share their contribution via in-gym mobiles and a social media share tool found at www.loveyourmuscles.com.
Saturday, February 25th is Crunch’s official Love Your Muscles Day, in which all locations nationwide will be free and open to the public. Workshops and training demos will be available, along with a special personal training offer – $30 for 30-minutes and $60 for 60-minutes, which can also be purchased at www.loveyourmuscles.com. 100 percent of the proceeds for all of these initiatives will be donated to Augie’s Quest .
