Brian Smith continued his excellence at Sport&Health by receiving a promotion to Senior Vice President on March 6. “I’m really excited about the promotion and it means a lot to me that my company believes in me and my abilities to help take us to another level,” said Smith.
Smith has been with Sport&Health for 19 years and held many roles for the company, including General Manager, Division Director and Vice President of Operations.
As VP of Operations, Smith oversaw 13 Sport&Health Club locations while managing $41.5 million in revenue. “The vision for Sport&Health is to continue to execute on our strategic growth plan while providing opportunities for our team, improving the lives of our members and growing our footprint in the mid-Atlantic region,” said Smith. “What I enjoy most about this company is the strong management team we have and the fact that everyone on our management team really cares about our employees and members.”
With Smith’s new role, he plans to continue to grow the Sport&Health team and improve its talent. “This will set the platform for future growth and success at S&H,” explained Smith. Recently, Smith oversaw the opening of the newest Sport&Health location in Gainesville, Va. in November 2011, and is currently working on two new Sport&Health locations in Woodbridge, Va. and Frederick, Va., slated to open in the fall of 2012.
