As the year starts, all fitness departments are entering their busy time and their most lucrative business season. Many gym members are looking for the right trainer to motivate them to achieve their goals and many fitness managers are looking for the right personnel to accomplish these goals. Finding people in this economic environment may not be difficult, but finding the RIGHT person is. The difference between finding a person or the right person are listed below:
PERSON | RIGHT PERSON |
Shows up for clients | Arrives early, perfects their appearance, pre-written workout and greets client with smile
Gives client a workout | Gives the client a workout that mentally and physically challenges their client while giving them corrective exercises and ‘homework’ to do on their own before the next session
Contacts new members | Calls, e-mails or meets members as they enter club and offers them a tour of the different areas and shows them which areas might benefit them the most
Trains clients | Is with their client and engaged for the whole session, and lets them speak 80 percent of the time, while closely watching and correcting client
Motivates clients during workout | Constantly motivates clients during workout, sends e-mail or text to follow up and checks in to see how the client feels after the workout |
