As a state consistently ranked as one of the healthiest in the country, Colorado is prime real estate for health-inspired franchises. This includes Orangetheory Fitness, which is set to open its first location in Colorado Springs in early 2014.
Orangetheory, which specializes in high-intensity interval workouts, already has locations in several Colorado towns, including Broomfield, Centennial, Southglenn, Denver, Highlands Ranch and Littletown.
“It’s our goal to help each member achieve their personal best, whether it’s part of their New Year’s resolutions, to prepare for a wedding, or just to be healthier and happier in life,” said Jeff Randall, the franchise owner and studio manager of the Colorado Springs location, in a press release. “Experts are raving that high-intensity interval training tops the list of fitness trends in 2014, so it’ll make for an exciting year to introduce southern Colorado to the ‘orange zone.’”
In February 2014, Orangetheory’s Colorado Springs location will host a weight loss challenge as a “grand opening” event for members. The challenge will span six weeks, and members must attend at least three Orangetheory sessions each week to participate. Whoever has the highest percentage of weight loss after those six weeks will win $2,500.
A pre-sale is currently going on for those wanting to be “founding members” at a discounted rate. The club offers three different levels of month-to-month memberships that are billed according to how much the member would like to attend Orangetheory sessions.
Orangetheory Fitness boasts 194 locations, including eight in Denver.
