GRAVITY FacilitywebTotal Gym Global and GRAVITY

How does GRAVITY Studio differ from other franchises, and what are the benefits of those differences?

GRAVITY Training® is anchored by the innovative technology of Total Gym equipment, which provides the basis for GRAVITY clients’ transformational results. By recruiting multiple muscle groups simultaneously, the Total Gym facilitates more than 250 resistance training, stretching and restorative exercises. Integrated with a selection of additional functional training equipment, Total Gym at GRAVITY Studio provides a versatile exercise platform for all fitness levels. Our small group classes and personalized team training sessions are lead by highly-qualified GRAVITY trainers, who have multiple industry certifications. Our program encompasses a wide variety of class types, from core-focused strength training, to cardio/strength fusion and mindful movement. GRAVITY delivers a unique training method for individual results in a group training environment — providing efficient and effective class formats lasting 40 to 50 minutes for maximum impact in minimal time.

What are the main selling points of GRAVITY Studio to potential franchisees?

Each GRAVITY Studio will be appointed with 1,800 to 2,500 square feet and quality equipment, including dedicated space for both classes and personal training. Renowned health and fitness professionals worldwide have contributed to the GRAVITY Program design and format, with releases of new material each quarter. GRAVITY Studio fosters a Shared Success™ franchise support model, which extends far beyond just fitness programming. Our GRAVITY Franchise Support Team focuses on the success of the individual owner — ensuring he or she is able to focus on the client experience. We help owners market their studio, use technology to manage operations and efficiently build and open studio locations.

How did GRAVITY Studio get its start — what need does it fill?

This is the realization of a personal goal for me and a great moment in the history of our company. Our long-standing goal, “To make accessible to everyone the awesome transformational results achieved from using Total Gym,” is realized in GRAVITY Studio. Now clients can try it in a supportive studio environment designed to offer the best holistic bodyweight training experience they’ll ever find.

What are your future expectations for GRAVITY Studio?

Our expansion plans in the short term are focused within the U.S. Currently, we have studios opening in Atlanta, Miami, Orange County and San Diego.

What qualities make the ideal GRAVITY Studio franchisee?

There are many people who have a passion for fitness and for helping people transform their lives. The entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well, and GRAVITY Studio is a fantastic opportunity to exercise both!

Tom Campanaro is the president and CEO of Total Gym Global and GRAVITY. For more information, call 800.525.6901 or e-mail tom@gravitystudio.com.

Mary Obana Portrait SmallKoko FitClub

How does Koko FitClub differ from other franchises, and what are the benefits of those differences?

The fitness market is very competitive. There are lots of options, but little to no protected differentiation, meaning a local provider can see what the market is responding to and offer the same concept down the street. You see it all the time in this industry. Koko is a digital gym. We leverage the latest in technology and exercise science and incorporate that into our patented exercise and nutrition system that is only available at Koko FitClub, so franchisees can execute and build their businesses with confidence.

What are the main selling points to potential franchisees?

The main selling points include its focus on innovation — which ensures continued market relevance — low staffing requirements, powerful differentiation and no inventory or cash to manage. It is a high-service model that uses proprietary “Smartraining” technology to ensure superior member experience. In addition, Koko FitClub’s technology creates time-efficient customized workouts for each individual, enabling the ability to serve a broad range of members.

Why is technology a big part of Koko FitClub?

With Koko, our state-of-the-art system leverages data to ensure members are doing exactly what they should be doing each and every time they exercise, based on their goals and ever-changing level of fitness. We leverage data to measure, track and report exactly what members have accomplished in ways they have never seen. This is an extremely powerful tool for member engagement, motivation and for recognition and celebration of accomplishments. We have a very passionate and engaged membership base as a consequence.

What are your future expectations for Koko FitClub?

We believe that there isn’t a bigger issue of our time than health. We also believe that technology will only become a more integrated part of consumers’ lives. Koko is a digital gym. No gym of the future will be without technology. We believe we are on the forefront of that and as such are in a unique position to partner with employers, health care providers and members of our community to give them an easier way to manage their health.

What qualities make up the ideal Koko Fit Club franchisee?

We look for people that are passionate, tenacious and confident, relationship builders who are mission driven, and natural problem solvers. People that are sales-oriented and community-minded with the entrepreneurial skills to thrive at running their own business.

Mary Obana is the co-founder and president of Koko FitClub. For more information, call 877.565.6348 or e-mail mobana@kokofitclub.com. Franchise inquiries should be directed to Lisa Moss at lisa@kokofitclub.com or 781.421.5452.
