UFC GYM announced plans to open a signature gym in La Mirada, California. The 46,000-square-foot location will be the largest UFC GYM to date, and is anticipated to open in fall 2015.
“We are thrilled to bring the UFC GYM ‘Train Different’ philosophy to La Mirada,” said Adam Sedlack, the president of UFC GYM, in a press release. “Unlike other gyms, our coaches include professional caliber athletes with years of experience in an array of training disciplines, eager to share their knowledge and passion with our members. We will be offering powerful programs and training techniques that redefine how fitness should be experienced. With this new multi-million dollar fitness facility, our youth training facilities and specialized MMA coaching, our goal is to create a community for all ages and fitness levels that is inviting, inclusive, encouraging and inspiring.”
The new facility will be open 24 hours a day and feature a 30-foot Octagon, Brazilian jiu-jitsu mat room, large group fitness rooms, bag room, top-of-the-line strength training and cardio machines, battling ropes, agility ladders, indoor and outdoor turf, and other functional training equipment.
Since debuting in 2009, UFC GYM has grown to more than 125 locations in the U.S. and one in Sydney, Australia, with more than 100,000 members worldwide. The La Mirada location will be the fifth signature club in the region along with locations in Torrance, Corona, South Corona and Rosemead, California.
UFC GYM is the first major brand extension of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, the world leader in the sport of mixed martial arts (MMA).
