Personal20, a new fitness licensed program offering a branded boutique experience with Electric Muscle Stimulation (EMS), will launch to members of Oxygen for Her Fitness and the community of Pompano Beach, Florida on May 3rd, 2016.
Oxygen Fitness for Her owner Courtney Wittenberns saw the potential after Personal20 hosted a day of trails for the members. Wittenberns, who also trains about 10 hours a week, did the workout herself, only to feel the effects of 36,000 muscle contractions that effectively reached her deep muscle fibers two days later. “As an athlete, I was not expecting to feel so intensely trained,” said Wittenberns. “As a gym owner, I immediately saw the potential of one piece of technology being so effective for such a range of clients, from beginners, to super fit, to members with back and joint issues. That is why I am looking forward to having Personal20 at my location.”
This new “Electro Fitness” is trending in Europe. Personal20, a new brand by Vivafit, is experiencing great success since launching this “boutique experience” in Portugal. Connie Ruiz, driving the expansion for the USA marketplace said, “Introducing EMS to the fitness industry in the states will create a true fitness revolution. Europe has already demonstrated this. Also known as Electro Fitness, this is so big in Europe that FIBO saw 17 booths dedicated to this type of training by the various Electric Muscle Stimulation providers!”
Personal20 is powered by E-Fit, a Hungarian leader in this revolutionary technology and the only EMS provider with FDA clearance for the USA. A skilled personal trainer, with an EMS certification to work with the E-Fit device, can deliver in a 20-minute workout the same benefits as a traditional 90-minute workout.
“I am excited to trail this launch of Personal20 at the Oxygen Fitness Studio with Courtney,” said Ruiz. “She is a hands-on owner who pays attention to trends in the industry. Boutique Studios is one of the top trends in the USA, and if a traditional gym environment can successfully launch a boutique experience, they can grow their marketplace and generate significant 2nd revenues.”
Already having initial success by adding Personal20 Corners in 4 locations (2 in Portugal, 1 in Spain, 1 in Oman), the most recent opening was inside Vivafit Porto. The launch week produced over 4000€ when 17 session packs were sold. 40 percent were non-members generating new business. And of the members who purchased the Personal20 service – only 30 percent were personal training clients. “These initial results show the huge potential for both up-selling to members, and bringing in new clientele,” Ruiz explained.
